Here is the effect: A book is shown and the pages riffled to show that they are all different. A page is ripped out of the book and torn into eight pieces by a spectator. A torn piece is selected by a second spectator who reads the contents (on both sides) to himself. IMMEDIATELY the Mentalist reveals the contents of both sides of the piece of page.
